For the Frosting (Classic Buttercream):
- 1 cup (227 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cups (500 g) powdered sugar, sifted
- 1 ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2-3 tbsp milk or heavy cream

Directions:
- Preheat & Prepare Pans:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans or line them with parchment paper. - Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. - Cream Butter & Sugar:
In a large bowl, use a mixer to beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes). This step adds air to the batter, ensuring a tender cake. - Add Eggs & Vanilla:
Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next. Stir in the vanilla extract. - Combine Wet & Dry Ingredients:
